At the age of 3, Lindsay was the first red-headed child ever signed by the Ford Modelling Agency.
Lindsay has worked as a model for Abercrombie & Fitch Kids (A&F Kids) and Calvin Klein Kids.
She has been in over 60 commercials!
She filmed the pilot for the TV sitcom 'Bette' but later left because the production moved from New York to Los Angeles.
Her family's last name is pronounced "low-han" but, when speaking quickly, they tend to say "lowen".
Both of Lindsay's parents have had a claim to fame, her mother (Dina) was in television soap operas and musicals such as 'Cats And A Chorus Line'. She was also a radio city rockette. Her father (Micheal) was in the daytime drama, 'As the world turns'.
Lindsay's father (Micheal) once owned a multi million pound pasta business but later sold it to begin financing and developing Hollywood productions. (this was before Lindsay was born!)
Lindsay was raised on Long Island, NY, where her family still maintains the home. (She grew up in Merrick and Cold Spring Harbor.)
Lindsay is of Irish and Italian heritage and was raised as a Catholic.
She wasn't tutored on film sets, she attended public schools on Long Island, including Sanford H. Calhoun High School. She finished her studies at home through Laurel Springs School of Ojai, California.
Lindsay earned the roles of the twins in 'The Parent Trap' after a six-month casting search. Later, Life-Size and Get a Clue were offered by Disney as part of a three-picture deal signed after it was filmed.
In 'The Parent Trap' the lost boy who shows up at the girls camp is played by Michael Lohan, Lindsay's brother. When Hallie arrives in London and meets Martin at the airport, the audience can see Lindsay's mother holding her brother Dakota. Beside her is Lindsay's other brother, Michael and sister, Aliana.
Lindsay's brother, Dakota (Cody) has done some modelling and her sister, Aliana is an aspiring model and singer/actress.
Disney offered Lindsay the lead female role in Inspector Gadget but, having just finished seven months' work on 'The Parent Trap', she declined. The role was then accepted by Michelle Trachtenberg.
Following a self-imposed hiatus, Lindsay auditioned for Freaky Friday. The body-switch comedy opened on 06 August 2003, and immediately took its place as the top comedy at the box office, earning well over $100 million in US release. Lindsay's singing debut, Ultimate, helped propel the film's soundtrack album into Billboard Magazine's Top 20 in under three weeks.

One of her all time idol's is Marilyn Monroe.
At the age of 17 she became the youngest person ever to host the MTV Movie Awards.
In 2005, she explained to a TEENick audience that she had decided to use "Morgan" as her middle name instead of "Dee" (her original middle name) because it sounded more professional.
Lindsay's favourite designers include Chanel, Fendi, Gucci, and Balenciaga.
She has a tattoo on her lower back, which says 'La Bella Vita' which means 'The Beautiful Life' in Italian. On her hand she has a heart. She also has the word "Breathe" and a star on her wrist.
She directed her own music video for the single Confessions Of A Broken Heart.
Lindsay owns an acre of the moon! She received a "Lunar Federation ownership of an acre of the moon"certificate inside her 2005 American Music Awards gift bag! Which also contained other valuables like perfume, watches, Blackberries etc...the total is worth $45,000!!!!!!
